The biggest event of the summer is back! With just a week to go, the WWE SummerSlam PPV has some fan-favourite fights that no WWE fan should miss out on. So without further ado, let’s take a look at five matches that will be worth tuning into:

The feud between Seth Rollins and Edge kicked off after Rollins cost Edge the Universal Title at Money in the Bank and since then both fighters have just been going at each other. Things got serious when Rollins attacked Edge again at SmackDown which resulted in Edge saying that Rollins was trying to follow in his footsteps but has failed to do so. The fight was confirmed later that night after Rollins heard that Edge called him “Edge-Lite”

4. Bianca Belair VS Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women’s Championship

It looked as if the tussle between Bianca and Sasha Banks was finally over when the former SmackDown Women’s Championship came back to the ring on SmackDown to save Belair, when Carmella and Zelina Vega were attacking her. Later that night, Belair and Banks teamed up to beat Carmella and Vega in a tag team match but things took a turn after the match as we saw Banks turning her back on Belair with a vicious attack. A week later, Belair said that if Banks wanted a title shot to regain her title, it would be at SummerSlam.

3. Bobby Lashley VS Goldberg for the WWE Championship

Bobby Lashley has proved himself to be one of the most dominant champions WWE has ever seen. He faced Keith Lee on Monday Night Raw which he won, and then came the return of Goldberg. His iconic music hit the arena and announced to Lashley that he’s next in line for the championship.  Within a few weeks, the fight was official. Goldberg also speared MVP on Raw as he was trying to mess with Goldberg’s son. At the age of 54, Goldberg is getting a title shot which is something you don’t see these days. If he manages to win this match, he would become the oldest superstar to get his hands on the WWE Championship and as for Lashley, a win for him would continue his period of domination in the WWE.

2. Nikki A.S.H VS Charlotte Flair VS Rhea Ripley for the Raw Women’s Championship

Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair have been in a constant feud since the 2021 Hell In a Cell. Things picked up a three-way route when Money in the Bank winner, Nikki A.S.H. cashed in her contract to pin Flair after her match with Ripley to get her hands on the Raw Women’s Championship for the first time in her career. In the following episode of Raw, Flair was demanding a rematch at SummerSlam and was joined by Ripley too. Later on, Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce announced that the fight would be a triple threat match for the Raw Women’s Championship.

WWE’s greatest superstar made his return to the big stage with his comeback at the 2021 Money in the Bank with the sole purpose of taking Reigns’ Universal Title from him, as he believes that the Head of the Table is an “overexposed” and “overhyped” gimmick. When the Big Dog was asked to face Cena at SummerSlam, he refused the challenge and instead agreed to fight Finn Balor. During the contract signing for the fight, the two were interrupted by King Baron Corbin which allowed Cena to rush to the ring and sign his name on the contract, which the officials said was enough to make the match official.
