The biggest event of the summer is right around the corner as SummerSlam goes down on the 30th of July at the Nissan Stadium. The main-event is set to feature the long rivalry between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar in a last man standing match for the Undisputed championship. In recent episodes of Raw and SmackDown we have seen the build up to the event but the full card is yet to be revealed.

The last time these two squared off in the ring was at Money in the Bank where Lashley beat Theory to win the United States Title. The Money in the Bank contract holder, Theory is looking to gain some revenge against Lashley despite having a clear and easy shot to the biggest belts in WWE. As for Lashley, he will be looking to build momentum and get a stronger grip on the United States belt after getting out of world title contention. The interesting thing here is, if Theory manages to win and cashes in his MITB contract and wins that too, we could see all the titles unified for the first time in the history of WWE.

The rivalry between these two goes long back when Lynch infamously won the SmackDown title in less than thiry seconds at last year’s SummerSlam. It did not take long for Belair to get her revenge as she clinched the Raw title from Lynch at WrestleMania but Belair still wants more and want to erase the 2021 SummerSlam debacle off her head. Lynch on the other hand was making a big teal out of the fact that she wasn’t given an immediate rematch after losing at WrestleMania, so she continued to put pressure on the officials until the fight made it to the SummerSlam card.

Currently in the WWE universe, no other tag team partnership comes close to the Usos apart from the Street Profits. The last time these two pairs faced off it ended in huge controversy. At MITB, replays showed that Montez Ford’s shoulder was actually up at the time of the pin which was a good reason for the company to set up a rematch at SummerSlam. Just to make things interesting, Adam Pearce announced that Jarrett will feature as a special guest referee in the match.

For many years we have seen Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar have headline PPV’s and there’s still no answer to who is the best. But the question might be answered on 30th of July as the two take each other on in a Last Man Standing match for the WWE Universal Championship. The pair most recently met at WrestleMania with Reigns getting the victory. An important thing to remember this time is that whoever the winner is has to be ready for Austin Theory who will be looking to cash-in his Money in the Bank contract.
