The Women’s Royal Rumble match has provided us with some of the most entertaining matches in WWE history and so will be the case this time out. WWE announced many participants in the week building up to the PPV with some big names making their return. The Bella Twins, Nikki, and Brie make their return who were given a single shot entry (without having to fight for it). The rest of the participants are Carmella, Dana Brooke, Money in the Bank winner Nikki A.S.H, Queen Zelina, former WWE Champion Rhea Ripley, Tamina, Aliyah, Charlotte Flair, Naomi, Natalya, Shayna Baszler, Shotzi, Lita, Kelly Kelly, Michelle McCool, Mickie James, Summer Rae, Liv Morgan, and the defending Royal Rumble champion Biana Belair. With 9 spots still remaining, one can expect a big surprise on the day of the PPV.

With the PPV edging closer, we now know about a lot of participants but there are plenty more to join the party as well as some big surprise entries once it’s time to Rumble. The confirmed list of participants includes Johnny Knoxville, Montez Ford, Angelo Dawkins, Rey Mysterio, Dominick Mysterio, Austin Theory, Sheamus, Damian Priest, AJ Styles, Big E, Happy Corbin, Madcap Moss, Sami Zyan, Kofi Kingston, Kevin Owens, Omos, Randy Orton, Riddle, Chad Gable, Otis, Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode.

The first out of the three individual title flights at Royal Rumble features a Raw Women’s Championship fight between Champion Becky Lynch and Doudrop. Lynch has been fighting against Belair and Liv Morgan for quite a while now and WWE decided to spice things up a little. Doudrop, Morgan, and Belair took each other on in a triple threat match on Raw to decide who will fight the champion at Royal Rumble and WWE, which is full of surprises produced another one as Duodrop won that match to book her place in the Royal Rumble PPV.
2. WWE Championship

In the co-main event of the Royal Rumble PPV, Brock Lesnar will have to defend his WWE Championship belt against former champion Bobby Lashley. Lesnar picked up the title back on Day 1 after defeating Lashley, Big E, Seth Rollins, and Kevin Owens in a fatal-5-way match. In the week building up to the event, WWE set a fatal-4-way match on Raw and the winner gets himself a title shot. The Mighty Lashley won that match and locked in the long-awaited meeting between the two powerhouses of this generation.
1. Universal Championship

It’s been more than 500 days since Roman Reigns has held the Universal Championship. On Day 1, Reigns was set to defend that title against Lesnar but after getting infected by COVID, the Head of the Table did not fight. Since Lesnar got crowned as WWE Champion, Reigns was left without an opponent for Royal Rumble, and Adam Pearce was tasked to find him an opponent. Following this incident, Rollins showed up in Reigns’ locker room and laughed at the champion for not having an opponent and that’s where the match was set. In the following WWE show on Raw, Rollins was confirmed to face Reigns’ for the Universal title.
