2. Bangalore, IPL 2016: 113 vs KXIP

King Kohli was batting on cloud nine during IPL 2016 and played one of the most outstanding knocks in the tournament’s history against the Kings XI Punjab at the Chinnaswamy. In a rain-curtailed 15-over match, Kohli tormented the Punjab bowlers as he hit 12 fours and 8 sixes in his 50-ball 113 to bring up his 4th century of IPL 2016.

1. T20 World Cup, 2016: 82* vs Australia

In a virtual quarter-final against Australia in the 2016 T20 World Cup, the chase-master once again rose to the occasion and showed his class on the biggest stage. Needing 161 to win on a tricky Mohali wicket, India were struggling at 49-3, but Virat took the team home with his innings of 82* from 51 balls that could be described as the greatest knock he ever played. Kohli was batting in a different zone on that night as he smashed 32 runs off his final 11 deliveries to take India to the semi-finals.
