Amid all the chaos that has ensued at Anfield this season, you probably wouldn’t have noticed just how good Curtis Jones has been. The Liverpool youngster has become an established first-teamer this season and has slotted seamlessly into Liverpool’s starting line-up alongside world-class players such as Wijnaldum and Thiago. Jones has been dictating play from central midfield for the Reds and is excellent at carrying the ball up the pitch and also contributing in the final third. While he still needs to work on the defensive side of things, Curtis Jones is definitely the next big thing to come out of the Liverpool academy.

3. Bukayo Saka

Bukayo Saka has often been the one-man army for Arsenal this season and has raised his game to a different level. The 19-year-old has more goals than all other teenagers in the league combined and has excelled in virtually every position that he has played in. Saka broke onto the scene as a left-back last season and has also been used as a wing-back, central-midfielder and as a winger on either side. What stands out about the Englishman is his decision making and he plays with a level of maturity and calmness that is almost unheard of, for someone of his age.

2. Eduardo Camavinga

Eduardo Camavinga has been one of the most sought-after talents in world football in recent years and it is only a matter of time before he ends up at one of the top clubs in Europe. The French international has everything you would want as a modern central-midfielder and has already been compared to the likes of Paul Pogba and N’Golo Kante. Camavinga broke into the Rennes first team at age 16 and had the most tackles in Ligue 1 last season as he helped the team finish third in the league. While Camavinga is incredibly gifted on the ball, it’s his awareness and athleticism that sets him apart from other midfielders.

Just as Lionel Messi’s time at the Nou Camp comes to an end, Barcelona have found another extremely talented winger to take his place on the throne. Ansu Fati is one of the most exciting talents in world football right now and has taken the world by storm since breaking into the Barcelona team in 2019 at the age of 16. Fati has great technique just like all La Masia graduates but is also blessed with great acceleration and positional awareness and is also an ice-cold finisher. The Spain international unfortunately suffered a serious knee injury earlier in the season but already has 16 goals and assists in just 23 starts for the Catalan club.
