Pro Kabaddi League – Top 5 Raiders – Week 3

Raider Naveen Kumar of Dabang Delhi

Highlight

It’s been another blockbuster week at India’s 2nd most-watched Sport and it’s been another successful week for teams like Dabang Delhi, U Mumba, and Bengaluru Bulls but also an important rebound week for the consistent Haryana Steelers.

A A A tT

In the battle of 1 vs 7, Raider vs Defenders, here are the ones that stood tall in Week 3 (until 09-01-2022) of the Pro Kabaddi League in our Top 5 Raider Rankings for this week:

5. RAKESH SANGROYA (GUJARAT GIANTS)

A young man playing his debut season of Pro Kabaddi is starting to make a true impact for the Gujarat Giants. Picked up at the auction after strong performances in Kabaddi Adda’s K7 Kabaddi Tournament, Rakesh Sangroya has scored 30 points in the past week from just 3 games including a monster 18 raid point game vs Haryana Steelers, backed up by 8 more raid points vs the Puneri Paltan. Coach, Manpreet Singh will certainly be proud of this young find this season and hope that the Giants’ form will see a positive turn too.

4. MANINDER SINGH (BENGAL WARRIORS)

Mr. Consistent of the Pro Kabaddi League, mighty Maninder Singh, continues to rack up the points for defending champions Bengal Warriors, despite the team being in the midst of a very poor run of form. Maninder has scored 27 points in the two games Bengal played this week (1 Win and 1 Loss) and firmly slots himself inside the top 5 raiders of the week once again.

3. PAWAN SEHRAWAT (BENGALURU BULLS)

A key reason behind the surge of the Season 6 Champions Bengaluru Bulls, has been the return to form of Pawan Sehrawat. The Hi-Flyer has had two big games over the past week, scoring 29 points in total with back-to-back Super10s vs the Jaipur Pink Panthers and the Puneri Paltan, both in winning causes. With Naveen Kumar all the rage, it seems like this man is out to earn his throne back…and we love it!

2. ARJUN DESHWAL (JAIPUR PINK PANTHERS)

It’s been a stop-start campaign so far for the inaugural Champions of Pro Kabaddi, the Jaipur Pink Panthers but the one man who has been non-stop for the men in Pink is Arjun Deshwal, who has made the move from U Mumba. Deshwal has annihilated every opposition and has scored 40 points in the 3 games JPP played this past week and has also been the top Do-Or-Die raider in PKL this week.

1. NAVEEN KUMAR (DABANG DELHI)

The Naveen Express remains unstoppable and as a result, so do Dabang Delhi. It’s been another week at the top for Naveen Kumar and the runners-up of Season 7 of PKL as Naveen scored 43 points in just 2 games this week!!! While Delhi continues to prove that they’re a one-man team so far, the only question remains, for how long can the one man keep performing at this level – because this is an incredible, record-shattering run of form for Naveen.
