Premier League TOTW 28
A A A tT

As the games come thick and fast in the Premier League, the goals have slowly started to dry up. Apart from Leicester City’s 5-0 thrashing off Sheffield United at the weekend, only 17 goals were scored across nine league games. In the marquee fixture of the week, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal got the better of Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham while Liverpool managed to snap their losing streak in the league and pick up a crucial victory away to Wolves. There were some stunning goals and performances across all games and here is our team of the week.

Kieran Tierney was a constant menace down the left-hand side for Arsenal and kept giving Tottenham right back Matt Doherty problems throughout the game. Tierney was eventually rewarded for his perseverance as he provided the assist for Arsenal’s equaliser.

Emile Smith-Rowe was a constant threat for Arsenal in the North London Derby and created four chances in the game. The 20-year-old was also extremely unlucky not to get on the score-sheet as he hit the bar with a wonderful curled effort from 25 yards.

Our strike partnership for this week is the Leicester pair of Iheanacho and Vardy who were rampant against Sheffield United at the weekend. Both of them caused the Blades problems throughout the 90 minutes with their pace and movement. Iheanacho bagged a hat-trick of which two of the goals were set up by his strike partner Jamie Vardy.
