PL TOTW_Week 9

GK: Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal)

Aaron Ramsdale continued his excellent start to life at Arsenal and displayed a distribution masterclass for the Gunners on Friday night, making seven line-breaking passes throughout the 90 minutes which helped Arsenal beat the first line of the Aston Villa press consistently.

RB: Valentino Livramento (Southampton)

Valentino Livramento finds himself in our Man’s Life Team of the Week for the second consecutive week after the 18-year-old scored his first Premier League goal against Burnley in another dazzling attacking performance for the Saints from right-back.

CB: Ibrahima Konate (Liverpool)

In only his second Premier League start, Ibrahima Konate put in a dominant performance for Liverpool away to Manchester United, and the French defender bullied the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford as the Reds ran riot in a 5-0 victory.

CB: Antonio Rudiger (Chelsea)

Antonio Rudiger’s attacking talents were on display for Chelsea against Norwich City as the central defender finished the game with 4 shots and 1 chance created while spending most of his time in the opposition half.

LB: Ben Chilwell (Chelsea)

Ben Chilwell found himself on the scoresheet in the Premier League for the fourth consecutive game for Chelsea with a stinging shot into the bottom corner, and the Englishman also made a few important interceptions to help the Blues keep another clean-sheet.

CM: Naby Keita (Liverpool)

Naby Keita arguably put in his best-ever performance in a Liverpool shirt on Sunday at Old Trafford, bagging a goal and an assist to go along with his four chances created, four interceptions and five ball recoveries in an excellent all-round display.

CM: Mateo Kovacic (Chelsea)

Mateo Kovacic was the architect of Chelsea’s 7-0 thrashing of Norwich City as the Croatian midfielder finished the game with the most chances created (6), most tackles (5) and two assists in a supreme all-round performance in the middle of the park.

CM: Mason Mount (Chelsea)

Mason Mount shone in the absence of the injured Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner as the Englishman bagged his first career hat-trick for Chelsea in a 7-0 romp for the Blues against Norwich City

RW: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

There aren’t enough words to describe the genius of Mohamed Salah, as the Egyptian King scored in his 10th consecutive match for Liverpool and bagged a hat-trick for the Reds in a stunning 5-0 romp over their arch-rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford.

LW: Phil Foden (Manchester City)

Phil Foden benefitted from some good fortune with his brace against Brighton at the Amex, but the Englishman put in a terrific display at centre-forward for Manchester City and was a constant threat throughout the 90 minutes with his movement and pace.

ST: Josh King (Watford)

After spending six months on loan at Everton without finding the back of the net, Josh King made his former club pay on his return to Goodison Park as the Norwegian striker scored a hat-trick as Watford came back from behind to produce a stunning 5-2 victory.

Manager of the Week: Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool)

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are undoubtedly the premier attacking force in the country at the moment, and the Reds produced one of the landmark victories of the season as they cut apart their arch-rivals on enemy turf in a stunning 5-0 victory that could spell the end of the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer era at Manchester United.
