GK: David de Gea (Manchester United)

David de Gea was back to his best for Manchester United against Wolves as he made two superb reflex saves from close-range to help the Red Devils keep a crucial clean sheet and win 1-0 at Molineux.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool)

Although Liverpool walked away from the game against 10-man Chelsea with only 1 point, Trent Alexander-Arnold had another outstanding performance from right back and created more chances than any other player on the pitch (5).

CB: Raphael Varane (Manchester United)

Raphael Varane oozed class in his first outing in the Premier League as he comfortably dealt with the threat of the Wolves attack while also providing the assist for the winning goal scored by Mason Greenwood.

CB: Andreas Christensen (Chelsea)

Chelsea produced a defensive masterclass in the second half against Liverpool to see out the game for a draw with only 10 men. Although any Chelsea defender could find themselves in this Team of the Week, Andreas Christensen stood out with his 7 clearances and 5 ball recoveries for the Blues.

LB: Sergio Reguilon (Tottenham)

Tottenham secured their third successive victory of the Premier League season against Watford to go to the top of the table and Sergio Reguilon put in another promising performance at left back to help Spurs keep another clean sheet.

CM: Conor Gallagher (Crystal Palace)

Conor Gallagher has enjoyed a bright start to his life at Crystal Palace on loan from Chelsea and the Englishman scored both goals for the Eagles in their 2-2 draw against West Ham to give Patrick Viera his first points in English football.

CM: Allan (Everton)

Everton central-midfielder Allan finished the match against Brighton with the most chances created (5) and tackles (4) in an excellent all-round display that helped the Toffees secure the three points on the south coast.

RM: Mason Greenwood (Manchester United)

Mason Greenwood was Manchester United’s most dangerous attacker throughout the 90 minutes against Wolverhampton and once again made the difference 10 minutes from full-time as he beat his man down the right-wing before unleashing a ferocious low-strike to score his 3rd league goal of the season.

LM: Adama Traore (Wolves)

Adama Traore cut through the United midfield like a knife through hot butter and was nigh on impossible to stop for Wolves as the left-winger completed 8 dribbles and created 4 chances against the Red Devils.

ST: Michail Antonio (West Ham)

Michail Antonio continued his perfect start to the Premier League season against Crystal Palace as the 31-year-old set up the opening goal for Pablo Fornals before adding one for himself in the second half to take his tally of goals and assists for the season to 7.

ST: Ferran Torres (Manchester City)

Ferran Torres could be the answer to Manchester City’s striker woes as the Spaniard played up front for Pep Guardiola’s side against Arsenal and finished with two goals and an assist in a 5-0 win.

Manager of the week: Tomas Tuchel (Chelsea)

Tomas Tuchel’s Chelsea produced a resilient display with only 10-men to resist the relentless attacking pressure from Liverpool at Anfield and walk away with a crucial draw in a potential title-defining clash.
