Matchday 10 through up some interesting results in the Premier League with Manchester City losing at home to Crystal Palace, Liverpool drawing at home to Brighton and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer saving his skin with a much-needed 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur

There were plenty of iconic performances from the likes of Aaron Ramsdale and Cristiano Ronaldo across the ten fixtures, and here is our Man’s Life Premier League Team of the Week.

PL TOTW_Week 10

GK: Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal)

Aaron Ramsdale single-handedly won Arsenal the game against Leicester City as he made eight saves -including one of the saves of the season from a James Maddison free-kick – to help the Gunners keep their fourth clean sheet of the season. 

RB: Reece James (Chelsea)

Chelsea’s primary source of goals in recent weeks have come from their wing-backs, and Reece James delivered for the Blues yet again on Tyneside with the Englishman scoring two second-half thunderbolts in a comfortable 3-0 win for Tomas Tuchel’s men.

CB: Max Kilman (Wolves)

The youngster Max Kilman scored his first goal for Wolves with a thumping header and put in a fantastic all-round display, carrying the ball out from the back proficiently while also nullifying the threat of Everton’s attack.

CB: Gabriel (Arsenal)

Gabriel has been a vital part of Arsenal’s resurgence in the last two months, and the Brazilian central defender put in another stellar display for the Gunners against Leicester. Gabriel marshalled the Arsenal backline with authority and also scored the opening goal of the game inside five minutes with a well-placed header from a corner.

LB: Tyrick Mitchell (Crystal Palace)

Crystal Palace came away with a famous 2-0 win at the Etihad, with Tyrick Mitchell playing an important part at left-back. The Englishman was excellent defensively in terms of his positioning and awareness while also providing some energy down the left-hand side on the overlap.

CM: Enock Mwepu (Brighton)

The Zambian international kickstarted Brighton’s comeback against Liverpool and curled home a delightful effort in the first half while also providing plenty of industry in the middle of the park.

CM: Declan Rice (West Ham)

Declan Rice has elevated his game to another level this season for West Ham and the England international put in another midfield masterclass against Aston Villa, registering a goal and an assist in a thumping 4-1 win.

CM: Conor Gallagher (Crystal Palace)

Conor Gallagher has been one of the stars of the season for Crystal Palace, and the Chelsea loanee played a crucial role in the Eagles’ victory over Manchester City this weekend. The central midfielder assisted Wilfried Zaha’s opening goal before sealing the victory in the dying minutes of the game with a thumping finish into the top corner.

RW: Jarrod Bowen (West Ham)

The Hammers put four past Aston Villa on Sunday night, and Jarrod Bowen caused plenty of problems for Matt Targett down the right-wing before deservedly getting his goal in the second half.

LW: Maxwell Cornet (Manchester City)

Maxwell Cornet has been electric for Burnley since arriving from France in the summer, and the winger fired the Clarets to their first win of the season with a stunning strike into the top corner against Brentford

ST: Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United)

After enduring a brief scoring drought in the Premier League, normalcy has resumed for Cristiano Ronaldo, with the Portuguese lifting Manchester United to an important 3-0 win over Spurs. Ronaldo opened the scoring with an excellent volley from a tight angle past Hugo Lloris before setting up Edinson Cavani in the second half to kill the game.

Manager of the week: Patrick Vieira (Crystal Palace)

Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace have shown plenty of promise in the opening three months of his tenure, and the Eagles put in the performance of the weekend as they beat the defending champions Manchester City 2-0 at the Etihad to register their second win of the season.
