Royal Challengers Bangalore take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad in a must-win clash for both sides fighting for a top 4 spot, and all eyes will be on the one and only Virat Kohli at the Wankhede.
King Kohli is having the worst IPL season of his career in 2022, with the former RCB captain scoring just 216 runs in 11 matches at an average of just 21 and a strike rate of 111. Such is his poor run of form that Kohli is literally finding different ways to get out in this IPL and is struggling to even put bat on ball. Even in the last two matches against the Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings, when Kohli scored a half-century and 30 and lasted till after the powerplay, the 33-year-old is still struggling for fluency at the crease and is still only scoring at barely above a run a ball.

Fortunately for Kohli, RCB are still in with a shot to finish in the top four despite his lean patch, but the team are going to need his runs in the remaining three games of their league campaign to seal a playoff spot. However, Kohli will have his work cut out this Sunday at the Wankhede Stadium when he takes a Sunrisers Hyderabad side that have been one of the best bowling teams in the competition this season.
BOWLERS | AVERAGE | STRIKE RATE |
Bhuvneshwar Kumar | 25 | 121 |
T Natarajan | 14 | 107 |
As the numbers above show, Kohli doesn’t have a stellar record against the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and T Natarajan in the IPL, and in the last time these two sides met this season, the RCB opener was dismissed for a golden duck by Marco Jansen.
