Fantasy Premier League 2021-22 – Best Team Game-Week 6

Fantasy Premier League 2021/22 - Game-Week 6
A A A tT

Gameweek 6 could be a pivotal time for FPL managers looking to climb up the ranks with plenty of differentials to choose from as Everton take on the struggling Norwich City while Watford face Newcastle United.

There are also some marquee fixtures this weekend as Chelsea take on Manchester City, while Harry Kane and Tottenham travel to Arsenal, and here is our best team for Gameweek 6.

FPL GW6

GK: Robert Sanchez (BHA) – £4.6m

Brighton have been one of the tightest defences in the league with only four goals conceded and come up against a Crystal Palace side that have created the 3rd least xG so far this season.

DEF: Ricardo Pereira (LEI) – £5.5m

Leicester and Ricardo Pereira have under-delivered at the start of the new season, but the defender could be an excellent differential option for this week with less than 5% ownership. Leicester are the bookies favourite to keep a clean sheet this gameweek, while Pereira could also get some attacking returns after already registering 2 assists and creating 6 chances in four games.

DEF: Luke Shaw (MUN) – £5.5m

Luke Shaw has created an impressive 15 chances so far this season for Manchester United and has averaged an incredible 13.5 crosses per game since Cristiano Ronaldo’s entrance into the side – indicating that Shaw could rack up some assist points this gameweek against Aston Villa.

DEF: Lucas Digne (EVE) – £5.4m

Everton left-back Lucas Digne has massive potential to score points at both ends of the pitch after creating 10 chances this season and facing a Norwich side this gameweek who have only found the back of the net twice in five games in the league.

MID: Bruno Fernandes (MUN) – £11.9m

While Bruno Fernandes’ output has reduced since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, the midfielder is still an excellent option for this week’s fixture against Aston Villa. Fernandes is still the top scorer in the league with four strikes, and his assist potential has significantly increased with the arrival of Ronaldo.

MID: Mohamed Salah (LIV) – £12.6m

Mohamed Salah registered his 3rd double-digit score in gameweek 5 and his unrivalled consistency makes him a must-have asset for FPL managers for the foreseeable future.

MID: Ismaila Sarr (WAT) – £6.1m

Ismaila Sarr registered 15 points and four big chances in Gameweek 4 against Norwich and could have another explosive haul this weekend against a Newcastle side that have conceded the most xG so far in the league.

MID: Demarai Gray (EVE) – £5.8m

Demarai Gray is emerging as one of the best budget options for FPL managers after scoring three goals in the first five games of the season. Gray has taken 10 shots and registered one big chance so far this season, and Everton are heavy favourites this gameweek against a Norwich side that have conceded the most goals so far this season.

FWD: Salomon Rondon (EVE) – £6.0m

Norwich are the team to target in the Premier League this season for goals, and with Dominic Calvert Lewin out injured, Salomon Rondon could be an excellent differential for fantasy managers as a one week punt with only 0.2% ownership.

FWD: Cristiano Ronaldo (MUN) – £12.7m

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 3 goals in two Premier League starts and has registered the most xG (2.5) and shots (13) in the last two gameweeks amongst all players in the league.

FWD: Michail Antonio (WHU) – £7.9m

Michail Antonio will return to the West Ham lineup after serving his one-match ban and no player has taken more shots than the West Ham striker this season. Antonio is still the 2nd highest scoring player in the game so far behind Salah and faces a Leeds side that have conceded 12 goals in five games so far in the league.

Captaincy Pick

Mohamed Salah and Cristiano Ronaldo are the two standout captaincy options in gameweek 6, but the Portuguese has a slight edge over the Egyptian due to home advantage along and the impressive defensive numbers shown by Brentford at the start of the season.
