Here are our Fantasy Premier League picks for Gameweek 35.
GK: Fraser Forster (Sou) – £4.4m
Fraser Forster managed a season-high tally of ten points in his previous home appearance against Arsenal, and the English shot-stopper take on a Crystal Palace side this weekend that have failed to score in each of their last three matches in all competitions.
DEF: Andrew Robertson (LIV) – £7.3m
On current form, Andrew Robertson might be a better pick than Trent Alexander-Arnold amongst Liverpool defenders in Fantasy Premier League. The Scotsman has not blanked in the game since gameweek 17 and has recorded an incredible 64 points in his last seven appearances.
DEF: Ryan Sessegnon (TOT) – £4.3m
Ryan Sessegnon has amassed 18 points in his last three starts for Tottenham Hotspur and is an excellent value pick in defence ahead of their home tie against Leicester City.
DEF: Joao Cancelo (MCI) – £7.1m
Joao Cancelo has recorded 24 points in his last three appearances away from home in the Premier League and is guaranteed to start for Manchester City this weekend as the only fit right-back in the squad.
DEF: Nuno Tavares (ARS) – £4.3m
With Kieran Tierney out for the season, budget option Nuno Tavares is the starting Arsenal left-back at the moment, and the Portuguese full-back has shown some signs of attacking potential, scoring his maiden goal for the club against Manchester United last weekend.
MID: Mason Mount (CHE) – £7.7m
Mason Mount has started in each of Chelsea’s last eight appearances in the Premier League and is the only Blues player to have recorded double digits in goals (10) and assists (10) this season.
MID: Philippe Coutinho (AVL) – £7.0m
Philippe Coutinho has averaged 1.67 big chance involvements per 90 and 8.56 points per game at home this season and could extend that good run of form at Villa Park this gameweek as Aston Villa take on Norwich City.
MID: Raheem Sterling (MCI) – £10.5m
Having been rested for the Champions League semi-final in midweek, Raheem Sterling is expected to start for Manchester City against Leeds. Sterling is an incredible differential with an ownership of just 2.5% and has registered 32 points in his last three league appearances away from home.
MID: Mohamed Salah (LIV) – £13.3m
Mohamed Salah remains the highest points-scorer in Fantasy Premier League this season, and has scored 11 goals away from home in 2021/22 – the most amongst any player in this campaign.
FWD: Son Heung-Min (TOT) – £11.0m
Son Heung-Min has recorded 30 points in his last three appearances at home in the Premier League, and the Korean international takes on a Leicester side that have only kept one clean sheet away from home all season.
FWD: Eddie Nketiah (ARS) – £5.5m
Eddie Nketiah has scored two goals in his last two starts for Arsenal in the Premier League and looks to have cemented his place in the first XI following his impressive performances against Chelsea and Manchester United. At £5.5m, Nketiah is one of the best budget striker options in FPL and the English striker could be amongst the goals this weekend as the Gunners on a West Ham team with no fit centre-halves available.
Captaincy Pick
With Liverpool playing a tough fixture against an in-form Newcastle United, Mohamed Salah might not be the best captaincy option in gameweek 35. Those honours go to Son Heung-Min for this matchday, with Tottenham likely to play a heavily-rotated Leicester City side at home due to their European commitments.
