Gameweek 32 could be one of the most critical gameweeks in Fantasy Premier League as the two best teams – Liverpool and Manchester City – face off while Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham have difficult away matches against Southampton, Everton, and Aston Villa.
Points could come at a premium in gameweek 32, and here are our Premier League fantasy football picks for this matchday.
GK: Aaron Ramsdale (ARS) – £5.1m
Arsenal have been one of the best defences at home this season in the Premier League, while their opponents – Brighton – have scored just one goal in their last seven league fixtures.
DEF: Reece James (CHE) – £6.3m
Reece James is expected to return to the Chelsea line-up after their 4-1 loss to Brentford, and the wing-back has averaged an astonishing 6.1 points per game this season, scoring 5 goals and supplying 6 assists.
DEF: Matt Doherty (TOT) – £4.9m
Matt Doherty has enjoyed an excellent run of form for Tottenham under Antonio Conte over the past few weeks, registering 55 points in his last six starts, and is a brilliant budget option in defence ahead of their trip to Aston Villa.
DEF: Trent Alexander-Arnold (LIV) – £8.4m
Trent Alexander-Arnold returns from injury in gameweek 32 and should go straight back into your fantasy teams despite the fact that Liverpool take on Manchester City. Although a clean sheet is unlikely, Alexander-Arnold has 7.2 points per match this season and an incredible 11 assists.
MID: James Maddison (LEI) – £6.8m
James Maddison is the go-to option for those looking to bring in a Leicester midfielder this weekend, with the Englishman bagging nine goals and assists and 71 points at home this season.
MID: Jarrod Bowen (WHU) – £6.8m
Jarrod Bowen registered a 13-point haul on his return from injury for West Ham in game-week 31, and the winger has three double-digit hauls in his last six starts for the Hammers.
MID: Bukayo Saka (ARS) – £6.8m
Despite having a quiet Monday night against Crystal Palace, Bukayo Saka has a team-leading 44 shots and 34 chances created for Arsenal this season and should be amongst the points as they take on a struggling Brighton side at home.
MID: Mohamed Salah (LIV) – £13.3m
While Mohamed Salah has only managed one goal in his last four league appearances, the Egyptian King is still a must-have option in FPL. Many could overlook Salah as Liverpool take on Manchester City, but the winger registered 13 points the last time the two sides met in 2021.
FWD: Son Heung-Min (TOT) – £11.0m
Son Heung-Min is the top scorer in FPL over the past two gameweeks, racking up 27 points after scoring three goals and bagging an assist against West Ham and Newcastle.
FWD: Harry Kane (TOT) – £12.5m
Harry Kane is the in-form man in the EPL right now, with the Englishman registering seven goals and five assists in his last eight appearances for Tottenham.
FWD: Jean-Philippe Mateta (CRY) – £5.3m
The second striker option in our team for this gameweek is Crystal Palace forward Jean-Philippe Mateta. The striker has scored in each of Palace’s previous two away trips in the league and has four goals in his last seven matches across all competitions.
Captaincy Pick
With Manchester City and Liverpool playing each other this weekend, the best captaincy option for this weekend is Tottenham striker Harry Kane, who has scored 70 points in his last eight league appearances.
