Fantasy Premier League 2021/22 - Game-Week 29
A A A tT

Matchday 29 marks the return of the mega double-gameweek in Fantasy Premier League as six EPL teams play two Premier League matches this week. Popular Fantasy Premier League teams like Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham have two fixtures in gameweek 29 and assets such as Mohamed Salah, Bukayo Saka and Harry Kane should be heavily targeted by Premier League fantasy football managers.

Here are our Premier League fantasy football picks for gameweek 29.

FPL GW29

GK: Aaron Ramsdale (ARS) – £5.4m

Despite not keeping clean sheets in each of his last three fixtures, Aaron Ramsdale is amongst the best goalkeeping options in FPL at the moment, with 4.9 points per game – the most amongst shot-stoppers. Arsenal have two home fixtures in double gameweek 29, and Ramsdale has kept six of his 11 clean-sheets at the Emirates this season.

DEF: Trent Alexander-Arnold (LIV) – £8.5m

Trent Alexander-Arnold remains an indispensable asset for all Premier League fantasy football managers as the highest-scoring defender in Fantasy Premier League this season. The Englishman has 42 points in his last six games for Liverpool and an incredible 13 attacking returns in 2021/22.

DEF: Matt Doherty (TOT) – £4.7m

Matt Doherty has enjoyed an excellent run of form for Tottenham under Antonio Conte over the past few weeks, registering 32 points in his last two starts – the most for all players in fantasy premier league. Doherty has four goals and assists since gameweek 27, and with Tottenham playing two matches this week, the wing-back should be high on the watchlist for most Premier League fantasy football managers.

DEF: Andrew Robertson (ARS) – £7.1m

With Diogo JotaSadio Mane and Luis Diaz as rotation risks, Andrew Robertson is the best third Liverpool asset for fantasy premier league managers ahead of double-gameweek 29. Robertson has managed 64 points in his last seven starts for Liverpool and has created the most big chances amongst defenders over the past six games.

MID: Ryan Fraser (NEW) – £5.3m

Ryan Fraser visits Chelsea and Newcastle in double gameweek 29, and the Scottish midfielder has hit form over the past few matches for the Magpies, scoring two goals and supplying three assists in his last six appearances.

MID: Dejan Kulusevski (TOT) – £6.1m

Dejan Kulusevski has started each of Tottenham’s four Premier League fixtures and has managed two goals, two assists and 31 points in that period. The Swedish international has become an integral part of Antonio Conte’s setup over the past few weeks and offers a cut-price alternative to Heung-Min Son into the Tottenham midfield.

MID: Bukayo Saka (ARS) – £6.6m

Bukayo Saka has claimed 62 points at the Emirates Stadium this season, and the Gunners play two home games against Leicester and Liverpool in gameweek 29. Saka has seven goals and assists in his last eight appearances for Arsenal and is averaging an impressive 4.9 points per game this season.

MID: Mohamed Salah (LIV) – £13.2m

Mohamed Salah plays Brighton and Arsenal away in double gameweek 29, and with a total of 30 goals and assists for Liverpool this season the Egyptian is a must-have option for fantasy premier league managers heading into this week.

FWD: Richarlison (EVE) – £7.5m

Although Richarlison has not been much of an option in FPL this season, the Brazilian could be an excellent differential option for double gameweek 29. Everton have two home fixtures this gameweek, and six of Richarlison’s seven returns this season have come at Goodison Park.

FWD: Harry Kane (TOT) – £12.3m

Harry Kane is the in-form man in the EPL at the moment with three double-digit scores in his last four appearances for Tottenham. Kane has bagged 39 points and taken 12 shots over his last four matches, and with Tottenham taking on Manchester United and Brighton in gameweek 29, the English striker could even rival Mohamed Salah for the captaincy this week.

FWD: Alexandre Lacazette (ARS) – £8.3m

Although Alexandre Lacazette is yet to score for the Gunners in 2022, the Frenchman is one of the best forward options in fantasy premier league at the moment, with five assists in his last four fixtures. Lacazette is expected to start both of Arsenal’s home games in double gameweek 29 and is averaging 5.3 points per game across his last ten starts.

Captaincy Pick

With Mohamed Salah playing two premier league matches in double gameweek 29, it is a no brainer for Premier League fantasy football managers to captain the Egyptian. Salah is the highest-scoring player in fantasy premier league this season and scored an incredible 28 points the last time he had a double gameweek on Matchday 26.
