Fantasy Premier League 2021-22 – Best Team Game-Week 10

Fantasy Premier League 2021/22 - Game-Week 10
A A A tT

With home fixtures for Liverpool and Manchester City and an exciting matchup against Newcastle United for Chelsea, there are plenty of point-scoring opportunities for FPL managers this weekend.

Players such as Phil Foden, Ben Chilwell and Mason Mount have all emerged as viable assets in recent matches, and here are our best FPL picks for Gameweek 10.

FPL GW10

GK: Illan Meslier (LEE) – 5.0m

Illan Meslier has made six saves in his last two appearances and could bag his second clean-sheet of the season against a Norwich City side who have only scored two goals this season.

DEF: Trent Alexander-Arnold (LIV) – £7.6m

Trent Alexander-Arnold is the top-scoring defender in the game with 51 points, and the Liverpool full-back has managed three assists and five clean-sheets in only seven matches for Liverpool this term.

DEF: Joao Cancelo (MCI) – £6.4m

Manchester City have been the best defence in the league so far with only six goals conceded, and Joao Cancelo could add to his six clean-sheets and two assists against Crystal Palace at home this weekend.

DEF: Ben Chilwell (CHE) – £5.7m

Ben Chilwell has scored in each of his last three gameweeks for Chelsea and has managed 35 points in three starts for the Blues this season

MID: Phil Foden (MCI) – £8.2m

Phil Foden has established himself in Pep Guardiola’s side as a striker in recent weeks, making him an incredible option for FPL managers at his price. Foden has three goals and two assists in the last four matches for City and could haul again this week against Crystal Palace at home.

MID: Kai Havertz (CHE) – £8.1m

Despite being the only Chelsea player not to bag any returns against Norwich last weekend, Kai Havertz is still an excellent option for FPL managers while playing in the false nine role for Tomas Tuchel’s side in the absence of Romelu Lukaku.

MID: Raphinha (LEE) – £6.7m

Raphinha has been declared fit for the weekend and is a fantastic option as Leeds take on a Norwich side that have conceded a league-leading 23 goals in nine games to start the season.

MID: Mohamed Salah (LIV) – £12.8m

Mohamed Salah is simply unstoppable at the moment for Liverpool and returned a massive 24-point haul last weekend against Manchester United. Salah has 10 goals and 6 assists so far this campaign and is owned by nearly 70% of managers in the game.

MID: Heung-Min Son (TOT) – £10.2m

Given Manchester United’s current defensive frailties, they could be a good team to target this week for attacking returns and Heung-Min Son has three double-figure returns in four home matches for Tottenham this term.

FWD: Josh King (WAT) – £5.6m

Josh King has two double-digit hauls in his last four starts for Watford and is an excellent budget forward option under new manager Claudio Ranieri after bagging a hattrick last weekend against Everton.

FWD: Michail Antonio (WHU) – £8.1m

After Mohamed Salah, Michail Antonio has the most goal-contributions in the game this season and is the top-scoring forward in FPL with 57 points.

Captaincy Pick

Considering the form of Mohamed Salah, the captaincy argument is a rhetorical question at the moment with the Egyptian King as the overwhelming favourite for the armband after scoring 50 points in his last three matches.
