After England’s unforgettable win against Germany in the Euros, a fan tweeted to Manchester United star Marcus Rashford, “Announce Sancho Marcus” to which the striker replied, “Yes x”. Jadon Sancho who has hardly featured in England’s Euro 2020 run has been on the radar of the Red Devils for almost a year but could never agree on a final deal. Last night, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United both reached an agreement for Jadon Sancho with the club guaranteeing £72.9million plus add-ons. As per Fabrizio Romano, personal terms between Sancho and the English club have been agreed with the player set to have his medical and join United after England’s European Championship campaign.

The former Manchester City youth player is set to sign until June 2026 which is confirmed and will have an option to extend his deal by a year and could have a weekly wage of 350,000. The payment structure of the deal and the add-ons are yet to be finalised and with Sancho joining United, and Manchester City will receive 15% of the Sancho fee owing to a sell-on clause they negotiated as part of his £8m move to Dortmund in 2017.

The 21-year-old winger is regarded as one of the world’s best young wingers and has scored fifty goals in his 137 appearances for the German side and could be the answer to United’s attacking problems.

As for Borussia Dortmund, the club is looking for a replacement for Jadon Sancho and two players who are at the top of the list at Donyell Malen and Noni Madueke who play for Dutch side PSV.
