Let’s take a trip down memory lane and look at the 5 best MITB cash-ins in the history of WWE.

The best MITB cash-ins in the history of WWE

4. Dolph Ziggler, Raw – April 2013

We all remember Dolph Ziggler as one of the hard workers in the company’s history. In 2013, Ziggler won the briefcase at the MITB PPV giving him a title opportunity whenever he wanted. Ziggler cashed in his briefcase to defeat Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship this was the last and only time we witnessed Ziggler hold a world championship belt before losing the title within the next two months.

3. Dean Ambrose, MITB 2016

At #5 we have Dean Ambrose who cashed in his MITB contract at the right time to become a WWE Champion. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns squared off in a title match at the 2016 MITB in which Rollins defeated Reigns before his former shield partner Dean Ambrose cashed in his contract that he won just a few hours earlier. With Ambrose cashing in, the match was of all three former Shield members in the main event, just like the old days!

2. Edge, New Year’s Revolution 2006

At the New Year’s Revolution in 2006, John Cena defended his Championship in an elimination chamber match against Carlito, Cheos Masters, Kane, Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels. Once the match got over and Cena’s arm got raised, Edge’s music hit as he cashed in his MITB contract and landed two back-to-back spears to win his first ever WWE Championship and as we all know the rest is history.

1. Seth Rollins, WrestleMania 31

The main event of WrestleMania 31 featured a fight between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. During the match, Seth Rollins’ music hit as he frantically ran to the ring to cash in his briefcase making it a triple threat match. When the dust was settled in the fight, Rollins was the superstar standing tall with the WWE Championship held high. This has to go down as one of the greatest moments in WrestleMania history as it also began a long reign as champion for Rollins as a part of the Authority storyline.
