After leading WWE for decades, Vince McMahon announced his retirement from the wrestling entertainment world. In a statement released by WWE, McMahon said, “As I approach 77 years old, I feel it’s time for me to retire as Chairman and CEO of WWE. Throughout the years, it’s been a privilege to help WWE bring you joy, inspire you, thrill you, surprise you, and always entertain you. I would like to thank my family for mightily contributing to our success, and I would also like to thank all of our past and present Superstars and employees for their dedication and passion for our brand”. In his decades of service, there have been several amazing moments that involved Mr. McMahon while it was difficult to jot down just 5 of them, here’s our attempt.
Let’s take a look at some of his best moments in WWE:

After the WrestleMania XIV main-event in which Stone Cold Steve Austin defeated Shawn Michaels, Vince McMahon kicked off Raw to present the Rattlesnake with his new belt. As he handed Austin his belt, Vince told Austin that he needs to be more adaptable to the scripts and the corporate schemes of WWE. Vince added by saying that “he could either have things the easy way or the hard way but he had to do it Mr. McMahon’s way”. In response, Stone Cold did something no other wrestler could imagine; he stunned the CEO with a stunner, much to the crowd’s delight and that’s when WWE’s attitude era kicked off.

After crossing paths with the brothers of destruction, Mr. McMahon ended up with a broken leg and was taken to the hospital. While recovering, Mankind began to visit the CEO with a clown, a few balloons and his favorite – Mr. Socko. One thing that he did not notice was Stone Cold who was disguised as a doctor and right after Mankind left, Steve Austin started pounding Vince’s broken leg before blasting McMahon in the head with a bedpan. He then turned the defibrillator on him and stuck an IV up his tailpipe.

In WrestleMania 23, the headline of the main event was “The Battle of the Billionaires”, a fight between the two billionaires Donald Trump (yes that same guy who became the President of America) and Vince McMahon. Umaga was the fighter from Vince’s side and Bobby Lashley from Trump’s side. Both Trump and McMahon had agreed that the one who loses will have to shave their head in the middle of the ring. Umaga had victory in his sight when Shane McMahon (the original referee) was on the count of two but the Special guest Referee pulled his leg to stop the count. Later on, we saw Donald Trump performing a clothesline on Vince to take him out. The match ended with Bobby Lashley pinning Umaga, which meant that Vince McMahon had his head shaved by Bobby Lashley, Steve Austin and Donald Trump right in the middle of the ring, a moment that no wrestling fan will ever forget.

In late 2001, The Rock was really enjoying messing with Vince McMahon. In one of the raw episodes Vince mentioned that he would never touch someone’s ass, in response to that, the Rock brought on Trish Stratus as McMahon became aroused to kiss Stratus’ ass. But right at the very end, Dwayne Johnson pulled the Diva out and brought out the real ass that Vince had to kiss. That was Rikishi’s! Once McMahon kissed his ass, the Rock ended up shoving his head into Rikishi’s ass and put an end to the “Kiss My Ass Club”.
In the year 2000, Mick Foley announced a six-man Hell in a Cell match for Armageddon and Vince was not happy about it as it was his investment going to the war in that structure. McMahon tried to stop the match by taking the fighters out of it but all he received in response was a Stunner, Rock Bottom and a Last Ride. He then took the matter to a whole new level as McMahon and his allies rode to the ring on a pick-up truck, strapped chains on to the gates of the cell and ripped the door off.
