Actor Varun Dhawan recently got married to his childhood sweetheart, Natasha Dalal in Maharashtra’s Alibaug. The ceremony was attended by close friends and family due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent safety protocols. Filmmaker Karan Johar who gave Dhawan his first break in Student of the Year opposite Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra was also present for the ceremony as was filmmaker Shashank Khaitan.
Now, the hunky actor has shared a new teaser for his upcoming film which is called Bhediya. The film also stars Kriti Sanon and is said to be about a werewolf, a half man-half beast who turns into a wolf on a full moon night.
“#BHEDIYA Ka Pranaam #stree ji aur #roohi ji ko (Bhediya’s greeting to Stree Ji and Roohi Ji). In theatres 14 TH April 2022,” Varun captioned his post. The teaser for the film shows a camera panning the length of a dark and dense forest before focusing on a man standing on top a cliff. The man howls and turns into a wolf.

Bhediya will join Dinesh Vijan’s expanding horror universe which features films like Stree and the upcoming Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer, Roohi. Rao had also starred in Stree opposite Shradhha Kapoor. “Stree apni darawani duniya mein swagat karti hai (Stree welcomes you into her world of horror) #Bhediya In cinemas 14th April, 2022,” Sanon said in her social media post.
Bhediya will be directed by Amar Kaushik who has had a great run at the movies with Bala and Stree. The movie will be written by Niren Bhatt. Bhediya will also bring Dhawan and Sanon together. The actors were last seen together in Dilwale which also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.
