Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan and his childhood sweetheart, Natasha Dalal became man and wife today after having dated for years. The couple decided to get married in a surprise ceremony at Alibaug and adhering to the COVID-19 protocols set by the government, they have invited around 50 people to their wedding. Dhawan and Dalal tied the knot in Alibaug’s The Mansion House which was given added security due to the high-profile event.
Kareena Kapoor Khan, in her show What Women Want, had leaked the news that Dhawan and Dalal were engaged, prompting the actor to respond to questions about his impending wedding and also to retract his statements to ensure that they have privacy. Celebrity guests like Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, Zoa Morani and Shashank Khaitan were spotted in the coastal town earlier in the day. Dhawan is also stated to have hosted his bachelor party a few kilometres away from his wedding venue where he was spotted dancing into the early hours of the morning.
Natasha Dalal wore her own creation while the Dhawan family, including the groom, were dressed in Manish Malhotra’s creations. A strict no-phone-policy was reinforced at the wedding, similar to what Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma did at their wedding. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas had done the same for their lavish wedding.
While the couple did not get celebrate their wedding with most of their industry friends, the couple is reportedly set to hold a grand reception in Mumbai. The date of the event is not yet but Varun has already started looking for the right venue and date. The grand reception will have most of his industry friends in attendance. We are sure we are going to see the likes Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, Katrina Kaif, Sonam Kapoor and more partying with the newlyweds.
The same process of an intimate wedding and a lavish reception was followed by Shahid Kapoor-Mira Rajput, Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh.
