Businessman and actor Shilpa Shetty’s husband, Raj Kundra, was arrested late last night in connection with a pornography case. The Mumbai Police Crime Branch has named him a “key conspirator” in the case which is based on the alleged making of pornographic movies and dispersing them through mobile applications. The Property Cell of the state’s crime branch had registered an FIR in connection with this case in February this year and had also arrested nine people. Police officers have said that Raj Kundra’s name has come up during the course of the interrogation.
“We have arrested Raj Kundra in this case on 19/7/21 as he appears to be the key conspirator of this. We have sufficient evidences regarding this. Investigation is in progress,” said Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale, according to media reports.
In this pornography racket, police said that women and men were lured by promises of being cast in web series and then forced to shoot pornographic movies.
