Is there’s one Bollywood actor who has taken his fashion game to the next level, it’s Ranveer Singh. He just doesn’t give a damn, pardon our French. To give credit where it’s due, we must congratulate his stylist Nitasha Gaurav for clothing the actor in a way that truly showcases and highlights his eccentric personality. Today, the Padmaavat actor shared a few images from a photoshoot where he’s dressed head-to-toe in Gucci. Gucci is known to play around with the androgynous as can be seen in their poster boy, Harry Styles’ fashion statements in recent years.
While absolutely nobody in Bollywood would dare to emulate the pop singer’s outfit choices (he wore a tutu once), Singh does seem like the ideal Indian counterpart for the legacy brand. Sharing the pictures on his social media, Singh tagged Alessandro Michele, the creative director of Gucci who has been credited with generating millennial interest in the brand in recent times. “Alessandro, my beloved,” Singh wrote, paying homage to Gucci’s recent #GucciBeloved campaign which sees stars attend a satirical late-night show in their stylish best. While many appreciated Singh’s bold style, there were trolls who mocked him but that’s the price one pays for being a celebrity in India. Especially if you happen to be as unconventional as Singh is.
