Nora Fatehi‘s latest song, Dance Meri Rani, has already racked up millions of hits on YouTube. The song is sung by Guru Randhawa and Zahra Khan and is composed by Tanishk Bagchi. The song features Nora Fatehi playing the role of a mermaid who has been washed ashore. Nora Fatehi, the mermaid, is then found by Guru Randhawa in the song. The song is peppy and catchy and here’s what Nora Fatehi have to say about the African beats in the song.

“Growing up, I was surrounded by beautiful African women, be it my family members, my friends, my mother, who were blessed with beautiful curly hair. I was always in awe of the variety of beauty we have in Africa from different shades of skin to different textures of hair. And I’ve always wanted to celebrate that as an artiste. For years I’ve seen international artistes beautifully represent African hair styles, fashion and dance in various content across the globe. The African in me always wanted to celebrate Afro beauty and afro dance on a big scale through my art! With Dance Meri Rani I knew this was my chance to do just that!“ Nora said, according to Filmfare.
