There have been multiple rumours about actor Varun Dhawan’s wedding with longtime beau, Natasha Dalal for a while now. Ever since Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja got desi Twitter trending their much-publicised wedding for over a week, Bollywood weddings have become one of the most highly anticipated events in India. Then, of course, there was the global phenomenon that was the Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas wedding which was covered more stringently than the US elections.
Unfortunately, due to the novel coronavirus, the Varun Dhawan-Natasha Dalal wedding isn’t going to be a dhoom-dhaam affair like other Bollywood weddings. The couple and their families are following the COVID-19 protocols set by the government and will only be inviting their close friends and family.
The couple is set to tie the knot on the 24th of January in Alibaug’s The Mansion House.
While the media is reporting that Varun Dhawan will be decked in a highly-embellished Manish Malhotra creation, bride-to-be Natasha Dalal will be wearing her own creation. Dalal, a fashion designer, is Dhawan’s childhood sweetheart and while she was quite media shy earlier, she has opened up considerably in the past few years.
The paparazzi managed to click a few pictures of Dalal in a white jumpsuit and a white mask ahead of the wedding. She was also seen carrying a white handbag while the family’s multiple staff members were spotted carrying large bags packed with outfits for the highly anticipated wedding. A silver bejewelled number was seen being packed into a car as well, setting off whispers that it was the wedding dress.
Following the current COVID-19 protocols, the couple has invited around 50 people for their wedding. The highly coveted wedding invite contains names like Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. However, SRK will reportedly be skipping the wedding as he is shooting for Pathan.
