In what came as a major shock, the Mumbai Police had arrested a businessman and Shilpa Shetty’s husband, Raj Kundra, in a porn app case late on Monday night. Since then, some startling revelations have come to light. Police officials have confirmed that Kundra appears to be the “key conspirator” in the case and has been remanded to judicial custody till July 23 along with his aide, Ryan Tharp.
Now, the Mumbai Police have confirmed that they have found no involvement of Shilpa Shetty in the porn racket so far. “We have not been able to find any active role (of Shilpa Shetty) yet. We are investigating. We will appeal to the victims to come forward and contact the Crime Branch Mumbai and we’ll take appropriate action,” said Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime), Milind Bharambe in a statement.
Following Raj Kundra’s arrest, the Mumbai Police Commissioner, Hemant Nagrale had said in a statement: “There was a case registered with Crime Branch Mumbai in February 2021 about the creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some Apps. We’ve arrested Mr Raj Kundra in this case on 19/7/21 as he appears to be the key conspirator of this.”
