It has been three years since the world lost Bollywood icon Sridevi. The actress was often looked at as the first female hero in the Hindi film industry despite there being many actresses before her who achieved fame and acclaim. Sridevi was a blockbuster phenomenon and a talent that was recognised by even those who may not have liked her movies as much as her fans did. In fact, when the actress decided to make a comeback with English Vinglish, the film became an instant hit and so did her last movie, Mom.
Sridevi’s daughter with Boney Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor has established herself as one of the leading Bollywood actresses of the current generation. Her next film is titled Roohi where she plays a possessed woman. Roohi also stars Rajkummar Rao.
On Sridevi’s third death anniversary, Janhvi Kapoor has shared a note on her Instagram account which is seemingly in Sridevi’s handwriting. The note reads: “I love you my labbu. You are the best baby in the world.” Kapoor captioned the note with a “Miss u”.

On Tuesday, Boney Kapoor and his two daughters, Janhvi and Khushi performed a puja in the late actress’s honour. Sridevi had died in Dubai in 2018 and the official cause of her death was ruled as accidental drowning.
“You know at the end of the day, we have the same blood in us. I don’t remember anything of those four months but I do remember that one day when we were sitting in Harsh (Harshvardhan Kapoor, Anil Kapoor’s son and Janvhi’s cousin) bhaiya’s room and Arjun bhaiya and Anshula didi came in, I think that was the one day when I felt like, ‘Ok maybe we might be okay’,” Jahnvi had told Filmfare in a 2019 interview.
