Actress Deepika Padukone has always been at the forefront of social initiatives and this time around, Padukone has come together with the National Commission for Women and participated in their campaign, Men for Women. The NCW handle on Twitter shared a video clip of the actress speaking about the positive and stabilising influence that her father, Prakash Padukone and her husband, Ranveer Singh have had on her.

“I have been extremely fortunate to have received a lot of love from my father, and now, husband. Throughout my life, and in various aspects of my life. So let us not forget that men play an equally important role in empowering women,” the actress says in the video.
