Bollywood filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known for some of Hindi cinema’s greatest films but, perhaps, his finest so far is also his most controversial – Padmaavat. The period drama was the subject of heated national debate for the alleged relationship between Queen Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji.
Of course, once the film released, it was evident to anybody with half a brain that the film was a grand showcase about Rajput pride and that the only person who got the short end of the stick was Khilji himself.
A few days back, the makers of Padmaavat released two videos that show how the film was made. Giving us all a glimpse of what really goes on behind the cameras, Bhansali Productions shared never-seen-before footage from the sets of the movie. In the video, actor Ranveer Singh can be seen talking about the mystery and formula of a Bhansali production while actress Deepika Padukone shares that she never assumed she’d be the filmmaker’s muse.
