Let us start with the cheapest performance-oriented offering in India, the Mini Cooper JCW. It is one of the few proper hot hatchbacks available in the country. With its 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine, it has 230hp and 380Nm of torque. All of this power is handled by an 8-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4matic Coupe is the only SUV here and its performance credentials deem it worthy of a mention. It can be argued as the most practical performance vehicle in the list as well. Under the hood, it gets a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder petrol engine capable of 390hp and 520Nm of torque, with power going to all four wheels via a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

Arguably, the most exotic vehicle in this list is the Jaguar F-Type. However, only the base model of the coupe from Jaguar makes this list and only barely manages to do so. It is powered by different engines, but the one we’re mentioning here gets a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 296hp and 400Nm of torque. It gets an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox and puts down the power through its rear wheels.
