Suzuki V-Strom SX has just been launched in India. The new adventure tourer motorcycle gets a 249cc single-cylinder engine from the Gixxer 250 that churns out a respectable 26.5hp and 22.2Nm of torque. The quirky-looking quarter-litre adventure tourer will compete with the likes of Royal Enfield Himalayan, Honda CB200x, and KTM 250 Adventure. Suzuki V-Strom SX has been developed primarily for Asian markets and differs from the global version. It takes its styling and engineering cues from its big-brother, the V-Strom 650 XT.
Price
Available at all premium Suzuki dealerships, the V-Strom SX is priced at Rs. 2.11 lakhs ex-showroom. It can be purchased in three colours — Champion Yellow Number 2, Glass Sparkle Black, and Pearl Blaze Orange.
Powertrain
As mentioned, Suzuki V-Strom SX is powered by a 249cc single-cylinder engine borrowed from the Gixxer 250 range. Mated to a six-speed constant-mesh gearbox, the engine produces 26.5hp and 22.2Nm of torque. It gets Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS) that can help keep the engine’s running temperature at optimum levels. Riders can also adjust the power and torque levels can be adjusted using the electronic fuel injectors as per the riding style.
