Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 details have surfaced online and they look interesting, to say the least. The new motorcycle will get a brand new engine, and that engine will reportedly get different characteristics than the existing 411cc engine. Royal Enfield is also said to participate in the Dakar Rally with a new Himalayan 450 Raid version that would likely be put in production by 2025-26.

Bikewale has shared some key information about the upcoming Himalayan 450 motorcycle. It is expected to be available sometime next year and will likely be priced around Rs. 2.7 lakh. It will get a new 450cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that will be capable of producing 40hp and 45Nm of torque. Since it is going to be a brand new engine, it will have a different torque curve than the existing Himalayan with a 411cc engine, as per the report.

Furthermore, the new engine is said to be mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will get a ride-by-wire system, signifying that it may get three riding modes — Rain, Road, and Off-Road. The report also mentions that when users select the Off-Road mode, ABS for the rear wheel will automatically be turned off. It is also likely to get a vertical instrument cluster that displays a whole bunch of information to the rider.

Looks-wise, the Himalayan 450 will get a refreshed design with a new sculpted tank that can carry up to 20-litres of fuel. The new RE ADV will also get a new single-piece seat along with a new frame and other bits of the body like mudguards, upswept exhaust, and fairing. It will likely get upside-down forks along with 21-inch and 17-inch wheels front and back, respectively. The rubber around these wheels will purportedly be developed by CEAT specifically for the Himalayan 450.

For the touring aspect of the new motorcycle, Royal Enfield will also give a luggage rack with a payload capacity of up to 15kg. Himalayan 450 will reportedly get optional accessories like heated grips, different handlebars and handguards, and lots of luggage options.

As mentioned earlier, Royal Enfield is also planning to participate in the Dakar Rally. It will take the Himalayan 450 Raid to the biggest Rally competition in the world. The new motorcycle is expected to get the same engine, albeit with 50hp and an unknown torque figure. Other improvements to it include upgraded suspension, tubeless spoke wheels, and an additional fuel tank. It has been codenamed K1X and will most likely be offered to customers in 2025-26.
