Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has received its midlife refresh and gets a bunch of new features. The popular MPV gets a brand new engine and gearbox, a new grille, a 7-inch display, among other goodies. Alongside, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will be offered in five paint schemes. Fuel efficiency conscious buyers need not worry as the Ertiga will be offered with CNG in more trims than before. Maruti Suzuki XL6 is said to soon follow suit and its facelift should launch next week.
Prices for the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga start at Rs. 8.35 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base LXI trim and go up all the way to Rs. 12.79 lakh for the ZXI+ AT trim. Maruti Suzuki has also launched the Ertiga Tour M variant which retails for Rs. 9.46 lakh (ex-showroom) and its CNG version costs Rs. 95,000 more.
Under the hood, Maruti Suzuki has employed a brand new 1.5-litre DualJet, Dual VVT petrol engine that churns out 103hp and 137Nm of torque. It is paired to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox that now gets paddle shifters. On the outside, the Ertiga gets new dual-tone alloy wheels and a new chrome grille.
Inside, the Ertiga gets a new metallic teak wood finish (faux wood), a 7-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment, automatic climate control, engine start-stop button, Suzuki Connect with more than 40 features, and four airbags.
The Ertiga gets LXI, VXI, ZXI, and ZXI+ trims along with CNG and Tour M versions. For colours, you can choose between Pearl Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Pearl Dignity Brown, Magma Grey, Auburn Red, Prime Oxford Blue, and Midnight Black. It will rival its sibling — the XL6 — along with the lower trims of the Kia Carens and Renault Triber.
