Mahindra Scorpio-N is the latest SUV by the Indian manufacturer. The SUV has the codename Z101 and has been a long awaited new iteration of the super popular Scorpio. The Mahindra Scorpio-N will be launched on June 27. As of now, Mahindra has only showcased its design and has revealed some of its specifications.
The upcoming Mahindra Scorpio-N has a newly-designed body-on-frame platform. It is said to have advanced modern features and technology. It will cater to the D-Segment of SUVs in the market. Scorpio-N will be positioned above the existing Scorpio but lower than the Mahindra XUV700.
As for mechanicals, the Mahindra Scorpio-N will get petrol and diesel engine options with manual as well as automatic gearbox options. To keep off-road adventure enthusiasts happy, it will also get a 4WD drivetrain option. Inside, Mahindra is said to give the new Scorpio-N a more plush interior than before.
Design-wise, Mahindra has opted for a fresh look for the Scorpio-N. It gets Mahindra’s latest winged logo and gets a butch-looking front end. The profile also seems quintessential Scorpio but is now bigger than before. It may have a fresh design but still gives off a hint of the older Scorpio.
Speaking of which, the current Scorpio will be sold alongside but will be renamed the Scorpio Classic. This is due to the original Scorpio’s cult following.
