Kia EV6 India-spec is here but not completely. The South Korean brand has introduced the crossover in the country, but its prices will be announced on June 2. Being the first electric vehicle in its lineup in India, the Kia EV6 will be sold in limited numbers. Kia EV6 is based on Hyundai’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) architecture which is shared with the Hyundai Ioniq 5, due to launch in India later this year.

Bookings for the Kia EV6 have begun from today, May 26. Interested customers would need to pay Rs. 3 lakh to get their hands on one of the 100 EV6s slated for India.

Under the hood, the Kia EV6 gets a 77.4 kWh li-ion battery that gets a claimed range of 528km on a single charge. The new EV gets GT Line and GT Line AWD trims, with the former producing 229hp and 350Nm of torque using a single motor powering the rear wheels. The GT Line AWD trim gets a dual motor setup that churns out 325hp and 605Nm of torque. The EV6 can be charged using a 50kW charger in approximately 73 minutes, while a 350kW charger can fully charge the EV in around 18 minutes.

The Kia EV6 also gets a vehicle to load feature that allows it to charge other electronic devices using a 2-way charging technology. Alongside, the EV6 also gets disc brakes all around, hill start assist, multi collision brake assist, brake assistant system, and more.

On the inside, the Kia EV6 gets dual 12.3-inch curved displays. It also gets a 14-speaker Meridian system, a wide sunroof, driver and passenger relaxation seats, heads up display, a powered tailgate, and smart cruise control.

Kia also mentions that some of these specifications and features may change once the prices are announced. This is due to the fact that the EV6 is still undergoing a homologation process in India.
