The facelifted Hyundai Venue has just been launched. The updated model remains mechanically similar to the outgoing model with the same engine options on offer — two petrol and a diesel engine. The new Hyundai Venue gets refreshed styling inside and out with a new grille inspired by the Hyundai Palisade.

The prices for the Hyundai Venue start at Rs. 7.53 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant with the 1.2-litre petrol engine. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol as well as the 1.5-litre turbo diesel variants are priced at Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Do note, all these prices are introductory only. Hyundai mentions that some of the variants already have a waiting period of around 16 weeks.

As we already mentioned, the facelifted Hyundai Venue is mechanically similar to the original Venue. It gets a 1.2-litre petrol engine with 83hp and a 5-speed manual gearbox, a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine with 120hp and the iMT as well as 7-speed dual clutch gearbox, and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine with 100hp and a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The base E and S trims get the 1.2-litre petrol engine, while the S+ and the S (O) trims get all the engine options. The SX trim only gets the manual gearbox with either the 1.2-litre petrol engine or the diesel engine. The Venue SX(O) trim gets both the 1.0-litre turbo petrol and the diesel engine. Higher-end trims of the Hyundai Venue now also get three drive modes — Eco, Normal, and Sport — that can be controlled via a rotary dial in the centre console.

Talking about the interior, Hyundai Venue gets a new dual-tone interior with a beige and black finish. Alongside, the South Korean manufacturer also has a reclining rear seat, air purifier, two USB Type-C ports, wireless phone charger, paddle shifters, four-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, and more. Hyundai has also added a fully digital instrument cluster along with a heavily updated 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that has up to 60 connected car features.

On the outside, the facelifted Hyundai Venue gets a dark-chrome finished grille. While the shape of the headlamp cluster remains the same, it gets LED projector lamps up front. At the back, Hyundai has redesigned the tail lamp with a light bar running across the width. The Venue also receives redesigned 16-inch alloy wheels.

The new Hyundai Venue will rival the likes of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Brezza, its own cousin Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
