April marks the start of the financial year and this month has a few interesting cars debuting in India. First on the list is Tata’s new electric SUV concept and no, it’s not based on the Nexon EV. It will be unveiled tomorrow, April 6. Honda is also planning to launch its City e:HEV later this month. Also in the pipeline for this month are the facelifts for Maruti Suzuki XL6.
◼ Tata Electric SUV Concept
Scheduled to be unveiled on April 6, the new Tata Electric SUV is speculated to be a brand new model. However, Tata hasn’t revealed much information about it as of now.
◼ Honda City e:HEV
Recently, Honda took the wraps off its City e:HEV and is expected to launch on April 14. Powering the sedan would be the 1.5-litre petrol engine along with two electric motors mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. It is rated to produce 108hp and 253Nm of torque. Honda City e:HEV is also said to run entirely on the electric motor at slow speeds.
◼ Maruti Suzuki XL6 Facelift
The popular MPV from the Indian manufacturer was launched in 2019. Maruti Suzuki XL6 will get a mid-life refresh with new interiors, new exterior elements, as well as a new automatic gearbox.
◼ Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo
The launch date for the Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo edition is still a mystery. As is the case with other Monte Carlo models from Skoda, the Kushaq Monte Carlo will get cosmetic upgrades inside and out. Noteworthy exterior upgrades include a black element in the front grille, outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), window frame, and new 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the Monte Carlo edition gets red accents on the seats, dashboard, and doors. The powertrain for Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo is not yet known.
