Citroen C3 was announced recently and will go on sale in India next month. The French manufacturer has also announced that its dealer network will start accepting bookings for the new hatchback from July 1. Citroen C3 is also the brand’s first mass-market model in India and will rival tall hatchbacks and lower ends of the compact SUV segment.

As mentioned earlier, the Citroen C3’s prices will be announced on July 20. There are two engine options available and the French hatchback will rival the likes of the Tata Punch, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, and Maruti Suzuki Ignis. The C3 will be sold through 20 dealerships in 19 cities.

Under the hood, the Citroen C3 will be powered by either a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 82hp and 115Nm of torque or a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that makes 110hp and 190Nm of torque. The former will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox while the latter will get a 6-speed manual gearbox. An automatic gearbox will be offered with the C3 sometime later.

On the outside, the Citroen C3 retains the quirky French styling that can also be seen on the C5 Aircross. It gets a split headlight design with a big Citroen chevron logo placed within the thin chrome grille. The C3 gets a dual-tone paint finish in Zesty Orange with Black roof and Polar White with Zesty Orange roof. Single-tone colour options include Zesty Orange, Platinum Grey, Steel Grey, and Polar White.

Inside, the Citroen C3 gets a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also gets dedicated USB ports for front and rear passengers. The instrument cluster is also a full-digital unit. The cabin will be offered in Anodised Grey and Zesty Orange colours, depending on the trim level.
