BMW i4 was recently unveiled in India during the India Art Fair in New Delhi. The all-electric sedan will go on sale in India sometime later this month. The BMW i4 will be the third electric vehicle offered by the BMW Group, following the BMW iX and the Mini Cooper SE. The new electric sedan is based on the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe and will be offered in India in a single

The BMW i4 gets an 83.9kWh battery that is rated to deliver a total range of up to 590kms on a single charge. It will be available in the eDrive40 trim with 344hp and 430Nm of torque, with the power going to the rear wheels. Its 0-100kph time is claimed to be 5.7 seconds.

As mentioned earlier, the BMW i4 will borrow its design language from the BMW 4 series Gran Coupe. However, the design is slightly different as the EV gets blue accents inside and out. Alongside, it also has EV specific closed out front kidney grilles and alloy wheels.

Inside, the BMW i4 gets a 12.3-inch instrument cluster along with a 14.9-inch infotainment system. The EV will get a Harman Kardon-tuned stereo setup. It is also said to get heated and cooled ventilated driver assistance systems, and more.

It is speculated to be priced around Rs. 80 lakhs (ex-showroom). Since it won’t have any direct rivals at launch, it may compete with the Tesla Model 3 when it debuts in India.
